ReplyDeleteAdvil is like aspirin (it's non-brand name is ibuprofen). It's good for headaches and general aches and pains.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I really didn't drink all that much - I was perhaps engaged in a wee bit of hyperbole when describing my condition yesterday.
It was your stamina in staying the course that impressed me! Our partying days are a bit limited now - we tend to crawl away at 15 minutes past midnight and leave the youngsters to it.
ReplyDeleteThis New Year WE WERE the youngsters, seeing in the New Year at mother-in-law's retirement apartment. We thought we would lead all the nonagenarians in a hokey cokey through the corridors but when we went to look for them at 11.30pm they had all gone to bed! Ma-in-law was game, though, she drank champagne and danced around on her zimmer frame. (Joking about the zimmer - she would kill me for suggesting it. She just had a stick!)
Thanks for the info on Advil, I hear it mentioned in films and US tv programmes. Ibuprofen is a brand name here, so I suppose it is the same stuff.
