I arrived home yesterday evening, after the wettest summer camp we have ever had. In the nineteen years that I have been involved, first as a helper and and then as organiser, we have never had more than a few hours of rain but this year we had only one dry day. If you have ever tried to keep 53 children busy, entertained and happy, indoors for a whole week, you will understand how exhausted we adults were when we left.
I cannot trust my weary fingers to hit the right keys yet, so I'll just say hello and remind you that tomorrow I'll be drawing names for the signed copy of Down to a Sunless Sea and the other draw for translating the Latin tag. If you haven't yet entered, please leave a comment on the relevant posts, or on this one. The translation has already been correctly made, so all you need do is say 'Me too.'
See you tomorrow, when I hope to be more alert!
