Valley of the Rocks#2

Here are some more pictures from our walk in the Valley of the Rocks on Monday. The last thing one might expect to find in the centre of such a valley is a cricket pitch but that certainly looks like a wicket.
And this looks like a cricket club noticeboard
The entrance looks less than promising, with rocks and goats in the outfield.

But the pavilion looks rather grand for such a small club.

Here's the coach, waiting for the players to arrive for practice at the nets.

This chap is marking the boundary....
...while the groundsman puts the finishing touches to the wicket

And here comes the Second X1 for the first match of the season. (Okay, so goats can't count)
It's all happening in North Devon!

  2. Our beach is wet and wonderful. It's only wild during hurricanes when it can be quite beautiful as well.

  3. I love the ocean in all its moods, e. I also love waterfalls, rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, pools and even rain! I guess I just love water.
