All this 'stuff' for such a little thing! But the Moses basket makes a good boat for Millie and her dog
My strained wrist is still troubling me so, although I am now back at my trusty PC, I will be doing short posts for a little while. It is still quite difficult to type and absolutely impossible for me to do any cooking or housework!
Hello stranger! Glad you're back but understand you must be missing the little ones.
ReplyDeleteyes, you must avoid housework (especially ironing) or the wrist won't get better. I believe this may take many months...
Thanks RO, I may quote your advice on the ironing etc! It's good to be back.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! they look a lovely pair..sorry about the wrist
ReplyDeleteHe looks so tiny :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're home safe and sound. Did you get chance to have a look at the book for Millie, or will you be saving it until your next visit to read to her? xx
I'm not sure if this would make it easier but I have a mouse that doesn't move -logitech trackball, I think it's called, and it eases the strain on the whole arm, wrist, etc.
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous baby . . . welcome home M and see you soon!
ReplyDeleteCan recommend a Kensington Orbit Optical Trackball, (PC and Mac compatible), and recommended to me by the Apple Store when I had v painful RSI. Amazon sells them for £14.99.
Nan and D - thanks for the recommendation. I have ordered a Kensington trackball from Amazon and hope it does the trick. I am hoping that the wrist will recover now that I don't have to lift Millie into her chair, car seat etc.
ReplyDeleteSprollie Mad - I'm afraid I didn't get to see the book as there was rather a lot happening on the day it arrived. Tanith tells me it is beyond Millie just now but she is sure to love it in a year or so. I'm sure she will be in touch with you very soon.
ReplyDeleteVal - yes, they are lovely, a purely unbiased view of course!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, Maureen. Hope your wrist feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteMaureen
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your wonderful news. Love the photos. and I hear housework is the very worst thing for wrists!
AliB
Jodi - thank you. You know how difficult it is to be be separated from the grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteAli - glad you agree about the housework. I hear that it can take a very long time for wrists to recover!
Welcome home Maureen
ReplyDeleteWell now what are you going to do with all that time you have available now - no cuddling - no reading stories - no talking
No housework seems to be a good swop - talking on the phone doesn't involve a wrist does it??
Cathy
Belated congratulations on the new babe. Hope wrist improving. I did wear a wrist support at one point. Less typing helped too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susie. The wrist is much better now, after a good rest. I am spending far less time on the computer these days as I don't want to aggravate the problem.
