Twinkle, twinkle, little star

Millie (granddaughter #1) is now 21 months old and very articulate. She knows lots of songs and rhymes, her favourite of the moment being Twinkle, twinkle, little star. I imagined her singing to me as I sat out in the garden last night watching the glorious celestial firework display:

Twinkle, twinkle, little Geminid Meteor Shower doesn't have quite the same ring, does it? It was spectacular, though and I hope your skies were clear enough for you to see it.

  1. I fully intended to get a sighting, and was certainly up and about at the right time. But I got into the usual bed-time routine and trundled off to bed without even remembering...it's also been very foggy here, so I'm not sure how good the view would have been. (Trying to console myself with that.)

  2. Sorry you missed it, RO. It was the best display that I have seen but that is probably because I tend to forget and go off to bed, too!

  3. You are very blessed to have a grandchild sing a sweet Twinkle song to you.
That was the first song I learned to play on the saxophone!

I have heard the Twinkle song played on all sorts of instruments from recorders to xylophone but never on saxophone - what a treat! I hope you jazzed it up.
