"At every step you make me digress;
today I do not know whither I am destined."
One of my favourite singers sings one of my favourite songs.
Well, Paddington, Aga-baked Marmite nibbles and now, the fabulous Annie Lennox. That's enough distractions for one week Maureen . . .
Those little indulgences are necessary this week. My husband had an operation yesterday (nothing too serious) so I'm spending my time visiting him in hospital and his mother in her retirement flat. A little Paddington, Marmite and Annie are perfect comforters at the end of the day!
Send our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Yes, you're definitely entitled to limitless distractions Maureen. Do hope your husband will soon be feeling much better. In the meantime, may Paddington, Marmite and Annie weave their magic for you.
Many thanks. All is going well and I hope to have my husband home on Saturday.
I adore Annie Lennox, thanks so much for this, my other favourite I Saved the World Today which I think we probably all feel we've done daily!
Glad you enjoyed it, DGR and yes, I think I'm saving the world most days, at least I would if only everyone would listen!
Saving the World with chocolate cake! A new motto, perhaps?I've always liked Annie Lennox. She's a true original. Many of today's young divas could take a few lessons from her.
She doesn't look as if she has ever eaten chocolate cake, though!
I love to read your comments and promise that I will reply as soon as I can leave my garden, sewing room or kitchen!
