A signed edition of Harry Potter

No, I haven't received a copy from JK herself. The postman has just delivered my very ordinary copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, presenting me with an enormous challenge. I have to read and digest its plot, characters and nuances and decide on how to present them in sign language to one of my former pupils, who has shared all the previous volumes with me. I see this final book has 607 pages....... so my quote #3 is ".... may be some time."

  1. So, given all that's happened, I should probably keep my theory of Harry Potter as a (uniquely) successful product of feminist literary theory to myself.

  2. Come on, David, let's hear it.

  3. I've put it here. The basic insight is that a surprisingly large portion of the books is about the enjoyment of unearned privilege due to status.

I should also note that Ron's journey is a very typical of the reasons men become progressive.

  4. That's interesting and obscure. You'll breeze through school.
